Welcome to Birch Bend Farm:
Founded in 2022 by Laura and Jon Langemak, Birch Bend Farm is a family-owned farm in northwestern Wisconsin, in the town of Comstock. We are currently producing maple syrup — tapped, processed, and bottled on site at the farm — and setting down foundations for expanding the farm to include a vineyard and an orchard.

Our Story:
Jon and Laura met in high school in eastern Wisconsin. Fast forward a number of years: after tying the knot, work and additional schooling ended up taking them across to Minnesota, and over time their family expanded from two to five. As they raised their family in a rural suburb west of Minneapolis, their dream of having more space began to grow.
They weren’t just looking for a plot of land, they were looking for a place to build deeper roots — where the kids could run around to play, explore, and learn, with enough space for Laura to flourish her hobby of gardening and Jon to delve into his interest in woodworking. While many places popped up on the market, it took several years for them to find the perfect spot: a unique 60 acre farm with rolling hills in northwestern Wisconsin, on a small lake surrounded by a forest of birch, maple, and oak trees. It was love at first sight.
Birch Bend Farm’s namesake comes from a grove of birch trees Laura and Jon found during a walk on the south side of the lake. The trees were arched over, some near touching the ground, but still growing strong. This impressive sight intrigued them and sparked the idea for the farm’s name.
